Cambria Suites in Noblesville Great for Weekend Getaway

By admin on December 29, 2009
Back

It may have been the shortest weekend getaway I’ve ever had. Shortest in distance, not time spent.

To celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary, my wife and I went to the Cambria Suites in Noblesville (Hamilton County), off exit 10 on I-69.

It’s less than 3 miles from our house.

I won a getaway package at the Cambria Suites from the Fishers Chamber of Commerce (my company is a member), which included a free dinner at the Stone Creek Dining Company at the Hamilton Town Center, as well breakfast the next morning. So I decided to take my wife there for our anniversary a couple weeks ago.

The great thing about the Cambria Suites is that it’s so conveniently located to anything you could want to do in Fishers/Noblesville, as well as Indianapolis. A lot of people stay at Cambria for events at the Verizon Music Center (I can imagine a lot of the performers stay there), because it’s just a short walk away. It’s just across SR 238 from the Hamilton Town Center, the county’s large, new outdoor mall. And it’s literally yards away from I-69, which means you can hop onto the Interstate and be downtown in less than 30 minutes.

The rooms are gorgeous, and big. Even their smallest rooms are bigger than most hotel rooms. And with the pool and exercise room, plus a restaurant and bar downstairs, you could spend the entire weekend in the building without ever leaving.

The staff was very friendly, and we had a great conversation with the bartender as we were winding down our evening, after a great dinner.

If I had one complaint, it was that we didn’t allow ourselves enough time to actually spend in the room. It was one of those rooms you just want to spend time in. Sit on the couch, watch TV, and enjoy the luxury.

Maybe next time.
