There’s a fantastic event coming up next weekend that it always worth the tank of gas – the Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival.
For 4 days next weekend the old school Amish Farm at Amish Acres will be turned into an arts and crafts festival featuring nearly 350 artists from all over the world.
Not only is there plenty of art to go around, but there will be a fantastic selection of the most delicious food you will find anywhere. There will be an eclectic selection of country foods as well as the Amish family style dinners at the Barn Restaurant.
There will also be hours and hours of great entertainment on display. Including: barbershop quartets, folk singers, square dancers, strolling musicians and Live Broadway shows at the Round Barn Theater.
In addition to the arts festival, you can tour the working Amish homestead and see how the Amish lived when the first immigrated to the area in the 19th century.
It looks like it’s going to be a fun time for the whole family!
The Arts and Crafts Festival is held from Thursday July 30th to Sunday August 2, 2009. It costs $7 for admission and children 11 and under are free. Parking is free. For more information and directions check out the official website here.
