A Quick Guide to Indianapolis Museums

I wrote last week about visiting Indianapolis and having a great time at the museums on offer. So, this week I thought I’d put together a list of the major museums in Indy so you don’t end up visiting them on a day they’re closed (like me).

Feel free to print this guide out so you have easy access to it while exploring Indy!

The Morris Butler House Museum

Open on:

February through December:
Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3:00 pm

Guided tours begin on the hour starting at 10 a.m. Last tour of the day begins at 3 p.m. No reservation necessary except for groups of 10 or more.


$5/adult, $4/senior, $3/child or full-time student
Tours are free to members of Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana

Tours begin on the hour and half-hour. The last tour begins at 3:30pm. All tours are guided.
