Learn more about John Dillinger, Public Enemy #1, before the premier of Public Enemies (staring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale) this summer. The John Dillinger Museum is located in Hammond, Indiana and illustrates the Dillinger gang’s crime how it led to the birth of the FBI as we know it today.
The museum features life-size wax figures, hundreds of historical artifacts and interactive displays. Guests are invited to learn about the FBI as they chase John Dillinger and his gang through the Midwest during the Depression Era. Notable Dillinger items include his death trousers, the infamous wooden gun, lucky rabbit’s foot and more.
