When faced with a long run on a cold day, I’ve found the promise of a new adventure is a good motivator. I recently made a trip to Strawtown Koteewi Park, located just west of State Road 37 about fifteen minutes northeast of Noblesville in Hamilton County (northeast of Indianapolis). Miles of crushed-stone trails zigzag in and out of the woods, along the White River and past tall prairie grasses providing a scenic and soft run. The trails are great for walking, too, there are impressive interpretive panels explaining the area’s rich natural and cultural history. Take your time, bike, canoe, fishing rod or horse and embark on your very own Strawtown Koteewi Park adventure. Happy trails.
