Indianapolis remembers the Nation’s armed forces well. Home to the nation’s second largest collection of war memorials (largest being Washington, DC) and at the heart is the Indiana War Memorial Plaza, which was also the backdrop for yesterday’s Veterans Day parade. The cold and cloudy weather, could not dampen the spirits of parade goers as the procession encompassed the American Legion Mall.
Viewing tip: Take the high road. The steps (and terrace) of the Memorial are great place to see it all!
If you’re going to the 500 festival parade, try this spot, but you’ll want to bring the binoculars.
